We have watched this video several times and still cannot find a reasonable excuse for why the driver of the Lada Niva crashed into a stopped car on the opposite side of the road.

Even if the pedestrians crossing the road surprised the driver, we can't see why she (according to the YouTube poster) didn't stop her vehicle before it hit the Mazda3.

Russian Duma Speaker's Motorcade Accused for Blocking Ambulance with Dying Patient

Local and government officials abusing their power to block roads is nothing new in Russia, but the exposure of one incident that involved a dying patient in an ambulance has caused uproar in the country.

News agencies in Russia reported that a convoy of the current speaker of the Russian State Duma, Sergei Naryshkin, had police block the way of an ambulance carrying a patient in serious condition, who died before he made it to the hospital, in the town of Vsevolozhsk on Monday.

In Russia, Airplanes Use the Road as a Landing Strip

For the vast majority of our readers, an airplane, regardless of its size, getting ready to touch ground right in front of you on the road, would be something to be afraid of, but for this driver and his female passenger, it's just another day in Russia.

According to the poster of the video, a local villager near the city of Nizhny Novgorod owns the small monoplane. Amazingly, it is said that he frequently uses the road as a...landing strip during the summer months!
